Tahquitz Night Rally

Tahquitz High School staff created a “Night Rally” for Tahquitz families to enjoy. It was important to Tahquitz staff so they created an event that allowed them to share the school culture with the community and welcome them to a new school year. Due to limited space during the normal school day, parents are unable to attend school pep rallies, so staff wanted to recreate the excitement of a pep rally for families after school hours.

For the first hour of the event, families were able to enjoy a variety of performances and activities by student clubs and sports teams. The MJROTC presented the colors, the Choir sang the National Anthem, the band and cheerleaders performed to pump the crowd up, and the tennis, baseball, football, and ASB students played baseball pong, capture the flag, and human centipede to entertain the families in the stands.

After the rally, families were able to visit a variety of booths held by community vendors and student organizations and clubs. The student organizations and clubs used this opportunity to raise funds for the upcoming school year. Staff estimated that $1,700 was raised that night!

Thank you to the vendors, student groups, families, and staff for creating such a memorable night. It was a wonderful way to kick off the new school year, and we look forward to the next Night Rally!
