Notice is hereby given that the Hemet Unified School District (“District”) has determined that, for all projects to be undertaken by the District to be performed any General Contractor, Prime Contractor, Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing contractor, with required contractor’s license for their scope, in charge of all trades for the construction of a building which is valued at $1,000,000.00 or more, all bidders must be pre-qualified prior to submitting bids. It is mandatory that all Licensed Contractors who intend to submit bids complete the pre-qualification questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by the District to be on the final Bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor that has failed to comply with these requirements. If two or more business entities submit a bid on a project as a Joint Venture, or expect to submit a bid as part of a Joint Venture, each entity within the Joint Venture must be separately qualified to bid.
All contractors and inspectors must be registered with the DIR to submit proposals to Hemet USD in excess of $1,000.00 of site work. Any subs used on site will also have to be registered with the DIR. DIR registration numbers are to be provided with your proposal/bid.
Upon acceptance of bid/proposal: You must keep certified payroll records in accordance with Labor Code section 1776 and be able to provide those records upon request.
All contractors/non-DSA inspectors providing services on projects exceeding $1,000 must comply with CA Labor code requirements of Section 1771, 1774 - 1776, 1777.5, 1813 and 1815. All Certified Payroll Records must be uploaded to the DIR's eCPR and a confirmation of submission be provided to Hemet USD.
