Hemet Unified School District (HUSD) is very excited to go deeper in our work with the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). Our LCAP features an overarching goal that 100% of our students will complete their studies with HUSD and exit College and Career Ready. To reach that lofty goal we will focus our energy on three goals: 100% Attendance, 100% Proficiency and 100% Graduation. This means, that we recognize that the most important thing is getting every student to school every day. Although this is a lofty target we know that if our schools are safe, clean and staffed with credentialed and well-prepared teachers and staff we have the right climate to welcome students every day. Once we have students in class every day we know that more teaching and learning can occur. As we continue to improve our achievement we will push to the goal of every student being 100% proficient on every academic target. Finally, we know that if we have students in school every day and learning to their highest potential and that we do that year after year by the time they reach the 12th grade they will be prepared to graduate. Not only will they graduate but they will be College and Career ready. Our mission is to prepare every student to be ready to compete in the present world economy and follow their dreams in whatever direction they choose.
