Preventive Maintenance

The backbone of equipment is an efficient and effective maintenance program. This service can range from weekly to bi-annual schedules which ensure that equipment is checked, serviced, and maintained to provide conducive leaning environments. In addition, it is important that we protect both the initial capital investment and minimize corrective maintenance downtime which is completed by utilizing schedule and preventive maintenance programs.

Scheduled/routine maintenance is the day-to-day service and repair of equipment and systems due to normal wear and failure. Preventive maintenance reduces maintenance cost and equipment down-time, and eliminates demolition of equipment. In the PM program, for Hemet Unified School District we have a regular schedule of checking and servicing the below:

  • HVAC
  • PLUMBING/SEWER
  • ROOFING
  • IRRIGATION
  • GROUNDS PM
  • PESTICIDES
  • SUMMER CLEANING
  • FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
  • FIRE CONTROLS
  • BACKFLOWS
  • DOOR HARDWARE
  • STORM DRAINS
  • RETENTION BASIN
  • ELEVATOR SERVICE
  • OSMOSIS
  • GENERATORS
  • PEST CONTROL
  • CHILLERS
  • BOILERS

The most important task that will ensure efficiency of our air conditioning units is to routinely service filters. Dirty and clogged filters block normal airflow that reduces the efficiency of an AC unit. When the normal airflow is obstructed, air that bypasses the filter may carry dirt directly into the unit’s coils reducing capacity and raising the air conditioner’s consumption.
