Congratulations to Sonia Martinez de la Rocha for being recognized as the Faculty Focus Friday employee for elementary schools! Sonia is the Community Liaison at Little Lake Elementary. She does so much and with so little fanfare, it is easy to overlook her many contributions. Not only does she work tirelessly every day engaging with families, finding volunteers, communicating with parents, organizing the school’s ELAC, interpreting and translating for teachers and administration; she also goes above and beyond. For instance, Sonia was instrumental in working with San Jacinto College to bring Adult ESL classes to Little Lake this year. She has organized the Walk to School Day and supports our dances and evening events. She never says “No” when anyone asks her for help: teachers, classified, parents, and community. She is loved by all. Thank you for all that you do Sonia!
