Kathleen Alvarez, West Valley High School’s Athletic Director, was chosen as the Faculty Focus Friday employee for high schools. Every decision Kathleen makes is based on what is best for kids. She is generous and caring person to everyone she meets. When athletics were closed statewide, coaches, parents, community members, and most importantly students wanted nothing more than to get back and play. Kathleen diligently and faithfully schedule, reschedule, then reschedule again all in the name of keeping a dream alive for our students. When students were able to resume athletic conditioning she carefully crafted schedules and procedures, attended meetings, and monitored practices to ensure students were safe when they returned. While this journey is far from over, we know that our Mustang Athletes are in GREAT hands with Kathleen. She is essential to West Valley and a prime example of Mustang Pride!
