Staff and parents lined the sidewalks of the school holding encouraging and uplifting signs while welcoming students on campus. There was honking from passing cars, hugs, high-fives and even a warm greeting from the Bautista Creek Bear Mascot. The Happiness Sprinkling Project is a movement that has spread across the country over the last 10 years. Happiness Sprinklings are meant to encourage others with positive and motivating messages in the hopes of turning someone's day around and spreading cheer. “Our school theme is HAPPY - Have A Positive, Productive Year”, shared Larena Hitt, Bautista Creek Principal. “This fell right in line with the theme and allowed us to highlight the importance of social emotional learning.”
