The Bilingual Educators Succeeding Together (BEST) Committee recently announced the 2022-2023 Winners for the BEST Awards. HUSD is proud to boast 6 winners. They are as follows:
BEST Administrator: Dr. Kristi Watson, Hemet Dual Language Academy
BEST Teacher: Lorelei Juarez, Diamond Valley Middle School
BEST Para Educator: Montserrat Avelar Roldan, Hamilton Elementary
BEST Support Person: Esmeralda Chavez, Tahquitz High School
BEST Parent Volunteer: Yeny Vargas Santana, Hemet Dual Language Academy
BEST Student Scholarship Winner: Stephanie Martinez Anaya, Hamilton High School
The BEST Award is given in partnership with the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) and the California Association of Bilingual Education (CABE) to outstanding educators for their contribution to the advancement of academic achievement for plurilingual scholars and English learners. The honorees will also be recognized at an upcoming event at the RCOE Event Center on Friday, April 21, 2023.
