Vanessa Hagaman has a heart for kids who need extra attention. She does so much more than just provide instruction within her classroom. Ms. Hagaman gets them out and involved all over campus. She helps students’ experience mainstream schooling and provides a safe environment for them to mingle with other students and adults throughout the day. Her ability to connect and provide a safe space is evident in how helps students keep it together when they may be on the verge of melting down. Ms. Hagaman’s positive presence and her impact on not only her students but all students are part of what make every day a great day to be a Mustang.
