Scam Alert: Solicitation of Artwork by Persons Illegally Impersonating HUSD Staff

Please be advised that Hemet Unified School District has been made aware of fraudulent activity purported by an individual/group of individuals claiming to be HUSD staff and soliciting for artwork and/or funds. HUSD has reported this illegal activity to law enforcement, and those responsible will be held accountable under the law.

Example: A person contacts you claiming to be employed by HUSD and is looking to hire an artist to design materials for an upcoming conference or workshop. They often sound urgent and provide lots of details about the project. When in fact, the person is not employed by the school district, nor are they authorized to solicit work on our behalf. This individual may offer to send a check and requested payment. Often, they end up stating that the conference has been canceled.

Please note that the below emails have been associated with fraudulent activity. This is not a complete list.
