EMPLOYEE LEAVE & ATTENDANCE

HTA BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES:

See ARTICLE 12: LEAVES in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
 
ABSENCE REPORTING:
All absences are required to be entered in the district's call-in sub system, Absence Management.  Additionally, absences for Discretionary Leave, Personal Necessity, and Bereavement require entry in PowerSchool for approval.
 
 
CERTIFICATED LEAVE FORMS:

CSEA BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES:

ABSENCE REPORTING:
All absences are required to be entered in the district's call-in sub system, Absence Management.  Additionally, absences for Family Sick Leave, Discretionary Leave, Personal Necessity, and Bereavement require entry in PowerSchool for approval.
 
 
CLASSIFIED LEAVE FORMS:
VACATION AUTHORIZATION FORM Classified employees on an extended illness may request to use vacation leave to continue to be fully paid after their fully-paid sick leave has been exhausted.
 

NON-BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES:

As a result of California AB 1522 becoming law, non-bargaining unit employees are now entitled to leave benefits.  For more information regarding these leave benefits, please visit our Non-Bargaining Unit webpage.

CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES:

Leave benefits offered to Confidential employees of the district generally follow those offered to the CSEA Bargaining Unit, with the exception of the vacation accrual factor.

ABSENCE REPORTING:

All absences are required to be entered in the district's call-in sub system, Absence Management.  Additionally, absences for Family Sick Leave, Discretionary Leave, Personal Necessity, and Bereavement require entry in PowerSchool for approval.
 
 

MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES:

Leave benefits offered to Certificated Management employees of the district generally follow those of the Certificated bargaining unit.  Leave benefits offered to Classified Management employees of the district generally follow those of the Classified bargaining unit. 
 
ABSENCE REPORTING:
Management employees are required to enter absences for Family Sick Leave (classified management only), Discretionary Leave, Personal Necessity, and Bereavement in PowerSchool for approval.
 
 

INFORMATION FOR DISTRICT TIMEKEEPERS:

Designated employees at each school site and district department have been assigned the responsibility of regularly reporting employee absence information to Payroll on a timely basis.
