Shannon Christie, 5th Grade Teacher, has been selected for Little Lake’s HUSD Staff Spotlight. Mrs. Christie is a phenomenal teacher that is relentless in finding the best strategies that work for each student. With this dedication, hard work, and great teaching expertise, Mrs. Christie has been able to reach those students that have the greatest academic and behavioral challenges.
In addition, Mrs. Christie is our EL site lead and has been instrumental in helping to reclassify many of our English Learners. She has been able to do this by closely tracking student progress, providing exemplary ELD lessons daily, collaborating with staff to get English Learners to reclassification, and providing professional development to staff on the best ELD practices.
Mrs. Christie is making a true difference each and every day; especially for students who are kept further from opportunities. We are so fortunate to have her as part of our Little Lake family.
