Jacob Wiens is honored to highlight Ms. Natalie Chavez as this week's Employee of Excellence! Ms. Chavez began her career at Jacob Wiens Elementary as a lunchtime supervisor and is currently a Literacy Instructional Aide. She is a dedicated and hard working individual. Natalie is compassionate and understanding of the needs of our students. She has built a great rapport with students and staff. She has a positive mindset and is always willing to support others. It is not uncommon to see a smiling Ms. Chavez in the hallways as she is gathering her reading intervention students. Her cheerful personality is contagious! She continuously puts forth her best effort and has a growth mindset.
Recently Ms. Chavez was honored with the Golden Apple award for her heroic efforts and quick thinking in giving a student the Heimlich maneuver when he was choking on his lunch. She did not hesitate and was swift to respond! The student thanked her for saving his life. We are lucky to have Ms. Natalie Chavez as a Jacob Wiens’ Jaguar!
