Mrs. Schelly is a dedicated and compassionate Attendance Clerk and a vital member of the Idyllwild School office team who truly takes her role to heart. Each day, she transforms attendance calls into opportunities for connection, reaching out to the families of absent students not just to check in, but to offer the support and resources needed to get children back to class. Her commitment is especially evident in her work with attendance recovery, where she consistently goes above and beyond to provide the extra "tender loving care" that helps struggling students feel seen and valued.
Beyond her daily duties, Mrs. Schelly provides a warm, personal welcome to new students and families moving to Idyllwild, helping them feel at home from the moment they join the school. A versatile team player, Mrs. Schelly is always ready to step in and fill the gap when other staff members are absent—even braving the elements as a crossing guard, and sharing her leadership talents as the school’s Spelling Bee Coordinator.
Her dedication extends well beyond the final bell; Mrs. Schelly frequently attends after-school functions on her own time, volunteering her help at events like Back to School Night, the Winter Festival, Family Nights and Open House.
