Last night, the Hemet Unified School District community came together for a memorable evening celebrating the incredible individuals who make a lasting impact across our schools and departments each and every day. During the District’s annual Employee of the Year and Retiree Celebration, HUSD proudly honored 41 retirees and 71 Employees of the Year for their dedication, service, and commitment to students, families, and colleagues.
The evening began with a fun and festive pre-event reception where honorees and guests enjoyed a variety of interactive activities and opportunities to celebrate together. Attendees captured memories at the photo booth, enjoyed caricature drawings, and took part in commemorative photo opportunities with colleagues and loved ones. Throughout the evening, guests also had the chance to win exciting prize giveaways, adding even more energy and excitement to the celebration.
The formal program recognized employees from across the district who exemplify excellence through their professionalism, leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to supporting students and school communities. Retirees were also celebrated for their years of dedicated service and the meaningful contributions they have made throughout their careers at Hemet Unified.
Superintendent Dr. Christi Barrett shared heartfelt remarks during the evening, reflecting on the importance of recognizing the people who help shape the district each day. “One of the greatest joys of this work is having the opportunity to celebrate the incredible people who serve our students with such care, dedication, and heart,” said Dr. Barrett. “Tonight is about honoring not only the work our employees do, but the lasting impact they have on the lives of children, families, and one another. We are deeply grateful for each and every one of them.”
The event served as a heartfelt reminder of the passion and commitment that exists throughout HUSD and the many individuals who help Embrace, Educate, and Empower; Every Student, Every Day.
