Riverside County Stakeholders,

Riverside County and 40 participating jurisdictions within the County are updating the Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. To ensure that the needs of the whole community are met, we are reaching out to stakeholders familiar with the County’s exposure to natural, man-made, and technological hazards. We hope that you will support the planning process by taking a survey, attending a meeting, or commenting on the draft plan. 

To understand the challenges of organizations and agencies involved in hazard mitigation activities, Riverside County developed a Stakeholder Survey. The results will support mitigation strategy development in the final plan. Your participation in this short survey and amplification to your local networks is greatly appreciated: LINK  

In addition to the Stakeholder Survey, the County created a survey to obtain priorities and concerns from the general public. The Public Survey can be completed by anyone who lives or works in Riverside County, and we encourage you to share it with family, friends, and colleagues: LINK

Over the next several months, Riverside County will host virtual and in-person events to support plan development. The kickoff of the Hazard Mitigation Steering Committee will take place August 18, 2026, from 10:30 am to noon.
