Check your sofa cushions and cup holders for loose change and dollar bills and bring them on Monday, to help us secure Mr. Trudel to the ball with duct tape during our PTO's Duct Tape the Principal Fundraiser. Cottonwood's Middle School Basketball Teams are hosting two home games next week. Our Cougars will face off against the DP Christian Lions on Monday, and St. Hyacinth on Wednesday. Seating is limited, so feel free to bring your own chair. Our PTO Snack Cart will be on site selling snacks at the game. The Girls will play at 3:15 p.m. and the Boys will play at 4:15. We are looking forward to conferencing with our elementary parents next week during Elementary Parent Conference Week. If you do not yet have a conference time, please reach out to your child's teacher or the office and someone will assist you. In order to carve out the time to meet with our parents, our elementary students will be on a modified schedule all week. Cottonwood's 2nd Graders did a lesson on the Character Trait of the month, Perseverance. They worked in small groups to create the tallest towers that they could in 4 minutes. The learned how to overcome obstacles, stay focused on the goal on hand, work together and pivot when things don't go as planned. Great job Cougars! #TheHUSDWay #CottonwoodCougars

Families, it is time to mark your calendars for our Elementary Parent Teacher Conferences. Our elementary students will have a modified schedule all week to allow for our parents and teachers to meet. Parents, if you have not yet scheduled your conference time, please reach out to your child's teacher. On Monday, January 26th, Cottonwood's PTO will be hosting the Duct Tape the Principal fundraiser. Students, staff and community members can purchase strips of Duct Tape for $1.00 each or six strips for $5.00 that will be used to secure our principal Mr. Trudel to the ball wall. Strips of Duct will go on sale in the office starting on Monday, January 12th until the day of the event, or strips can be purchased the day of the event.
