At today's Monday Meet-Up, our PLUS Students celebrated students with Perfect Attendance, the classes with the highest attendance percentage, and they reminded students about the PTO's upcoming Bike Raffle. The students also learned about the poetry contest and the art contest that will take place during Read Across America Week. We are excited to see what our Cougars produce! Cottonwood's TK Students did a lesson on Perseverance. The students worked in groups to create tall, stable structures and then they selected personal goals to apply perseverance to in order to achieve it. They worked on identifying obstacles that may come up as they journey and creating plans to overcome the obstacles they encounter. Here's to 2026! #TheHUSDWay #CottonwoodCougars

At Cottonwood's Winter themed Saturday School, our scholars made salt crystal snowflakes, beaded snowflakes, ice cream in baggies, They also prepared for the 100th Day of School by making 100 count snack mix and completing a template on things related to the number 100. Cottonwood's Middle School Valentine's Activity Night will be hosted by our PTO on Friday, February 13th, from 5:30-7:00. Tickets are $10.00 a person and will include pizza, water and snacks. We are in the homestretch of our basketball season. We have two games this week. Our basketball teams will be playing Noli at Noli on Monday, and they will be hosting DP Christian on Wednesday, at Cottonwood. The girls team plays at 3:15 and the boys team plays at 4:15.
