Congratulations to Crystal Barragan for being named the Faculty Focus Friday employee for high schools. She is a Spanish teacher and AVID Coordinator at West Valley High School. She simply goes above and beyond for her students, not to mention for her fellow co-workers. Her ability to juggle her plate with AVID and IB duties is admirable. Yet, with all that stress managing AVID and helping with the IB curriculum, she continues to maintain a positive energy which is contagious both in and out of her classroom. More importantly, she teaches from the heart and treats all her students with respect and kindness. As a result, she has cultivated an engaging environment in her classroom in which students are encouraged to take educational risks and remain active learners in their learning process.
