Background

Stacey grew up in Hemet, (her grandfather was a custodian at Hemet HS and her father, Norm West, taught at Hemet HS, as well as being the baseball coach). After teaching in North Dakota for two years and Victorville for three, Stacey returned to Hemet where she taught at Hemet Jr. High and transitioned to West Valley when it became the second high school. She taught theatre, dance, film, English, reading, choir, special ed and English as a second language. She retired in May 2016 with 32 years. Her daughter, Sydni, graduated from West Valley in 2010.

 

As well as teaching, Stacey created summer theatre programs for children ages 5-18 working with the YMCA, Valley Wide and the Ramona Bowl. She has served on the Ramona Bowl Board for the last 8 years. She also served on the California State Thespian board for over 20 years and was inducted into their Hall of Fame. 

 

Interests

Stacey enjoys traveling, and with her daughter has visited many European countries as well as Brazil and crossed the United States by train several times.
