It is a true privilege to recognize Alexis Dalke as Valle Vista’s Employee of Excellence, a distinction that honors her twenty-five years of unwavering dedication and heart. As an essential cornerstone of our community, Alexis transcends her roles as yard supervisor and crossing guard, serving as the literal and metaphorical gatekeeper of our school’s spirit. Whether she is welcoming students at the gate with her signature warm smile or mentoring new supervisors with her seasoned wisdom, her impact is felt by every generation that passes through our corridors.
Alexis consistently goes above and beyond, serving on the Sunshine Committee to coordinate staff events and transforming the staff lounge into a festive sanctuary with her seasonal decorations and motivational messages. A true team player who is always the first to fill a need, Alexis is a vital thread in the fabric of the Valle Vista family, and we are profoundly grateful for the warm and kind energy she brings to our school every single day.

Alessandro High School is proud to recognize the outstanding Instructional Aides who serve as the heartbeat of our Newcomer Academy: Aleyda Otanez, Sofia Pardo Liang, Mariela Persona, and Frances Ruiz. These educators do far more than assist; they provide a lifeline of opportunity for students who are new to our country and working hard to bridge credit gaps.
By forming quick, positive rapport and fostering a sense of belonging, they create a safe space for students to master the English language while working toward graduation. Whether they are differentiating content, leading small group sessions, or providing intensive one-on-one support, their expertise and heart are crucial to the success of our students and the entire Newcomer Academy. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our Newcomers!
