Contractor Pre-Qualification and Registration

Notice is hereby given that the Hemet Unified School District (“District”) has determined that for all projects to be undertaken by the District and to be performed any contractor for a District project which is valued at $200,000 or more, all bidders must be pre- qualified prior to submitting bids. It is mandatory that all Licensed Contractors who intend to submit bids complete the pre-qualification application, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by the District to be on the Pre-Qualified Bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor that has failed to comply with these requirements. If two or more business entities submit a bid on a project as a Joint Venture, or expect to submit a bid as part of a Joint Venture, each entity within the Joint Venture must be separately qualified to bid.
Contractors may submit two times each year: (1) from January 1st through January 15th and July 1st through July 15th. The District must receive applications before 4:00 p.m. on the last date of the time periods defined above or at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the scheduled bid opening on any advertised project in order for the candidate to qualify for that project. Pre-qualification approval will remain valid for one (1) calendar year from the date of notice of qualification except as noted in the pre-qualification documents. Packages received outside of these time windows will not be scored.
